Flavorking plums

Flavorkings have a regal presence in the fruit bowl thanks to their size and sweetness. Known by gardeners as a ‘pluot’ (a plum-apricot hybrid), these plums are large and dark-skinned, with a crimson blush in the flesh and plenty of juice. As the name suggests, they score highly for flavour in taste tests, with a fruit punch flavour that’s reminiscent of bubblegum. They’re also remarkably sweet, so they’re lovely just sliced and savoured, or puréed to swirl into ice cream or yoghurt.
